Why aluminum?

Aluminum’s light weight, high strength and resistance to corrosion make it ideal for railings. It is highly malleable, easy to machine, mill, drill, cut, punch, bend, weld and bond.

*Recent testing indicates that posts with welded base plates fail at loads an average of 35% lower than identical posts with mechanical base plate connections. Vista aluminum railings use a mechanical connection for this critical area, the post/base plate connection. (The use of welded post base connections is generally not recommended.) These test results correspond with data published by the CSA and ANSI certification bodies.
